Teacher Appreciation Gifts

My kid’s school has a teacher appreciation week and the kids and parents are given the opportunity to let the teachers know how much we have appreciated all they have done over the last year. My kids have a number of teachers even though they are only in elementary school because they have separate gym, art, spanish, music, resource center, library, and of course you can’t forget the principal and school secretary.  So we had a number of teachers to thank so we needed a simple project my 2nd grader and kindergartener could help with, something mommy could finish without pulling an all nighter, and something that would not break the bank.  I thought of the matchbook sticky note projects that were in the May Stampin’ Success Magazine were the perfect project.

I actually ended up creating two versions one for the female teachers and one for the male teachers.  I used a combination of current paper colors and accesories and retired paper colors.  My daughter was able to use the Stampin’ Wheel to apply the background design to the card stock.  She was also able to help punch the flowers and circles out.  I chose the For All You Do stamp set as I thought the sentiment was just perfect to give to their teachers.  The baker’s twine in the 2011-2012 color was a fun addition.       The version for the guys we used the school colors and the school logo.  We wanted to give them something they would be willing to have on their desk and not feel awkward and I think this design achieved that.
